Day : 01 - Cochin (arrival)
Arrival at Cochin Airport and transfer to hotel . Check in at Hotel .
after noon proceed for Cochin Sightseeing. Visit the Dutch Palace-built by the
Portuguese in 1557 and subsequently renovated by the Dutch after 1663. The murals
are perhaps the best in India. Jewish Synagogue - built in 1568 and the oldest
Synagogue in the Commonwealth are at Mattancherry. St. Francis Church - built in
1510 and the oldest European church in India, Chinese Fishing Nets- introduced by
the court of Kublai Khan can be seen in Fort Cochin. Fort Cochin Beach etc. Evening
back to the hotel and overnight.
Day : 02 - : Cochin - Munnar (150 Km/ 04 Hrs)
Arrival at Cochin and transfer to Munnar. Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and
also the home of South India's highest peak (anamudi-2695 mts). On the way to
Munnar visit Valparai, Cheeyappara waterfalls and Tea Plantations. Upon arrival at
Munnar, I transferred to the Hotel. Check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit Rajamala
(eravikulam National Park - open as per the directions by the forest authorities ), the
best place to see Nilgiri Tahr (hemitragus Hilarious)- the mountain goat of South
India. You may visit the Tea Museum surrounded by tea Gardens- the only Museum
of its kind; which
illustrates the timeworn method of Tea production. Evening have a short visit to
Munnar town. Overnight stay at Munnar
Day : 03 - Munnar Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing in Munnar. Mattupetty dam, Echo Point,
Kundala Dam, Pothamedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of
the sightseeing. Shopping & overnight stay at Munnar
Day : 04 - Munnar-Thekkady (110km/ 3.5 Hrs)
Transfer to Thekkady, Drive through one of those most picturesque hill highways
of Kerala. Thekkady, also known as periyar is a world famous wildlife sanctuary and
one of the 48 Tiger reserves in India . On arrival check in At Hotel. Afternoon
proceed for 1½-hour game viewing cruise around the Periyar Lake which is the main
way to tour the sanctuary. Here you will be able to see a large variety of wildlife,
which include elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar etc. Overnight stay at Thekkady
Day : 05 - Thekkady- Alleppey Houseboat
Morning after breakfast proceed to Alleppey, where you will be booked to stay
overnight on the Houseboat. Staying in Houseboat is a breathtakingly stimulating
experience. While sailing down a maze of canals one sees different scenes from the
villages, paddy fields, coconut palms, fisherman and local life. Lunch, evening tea &
snacks, dinner next day breakfast and will be provided in the boat. The cool breeze
from the Lake makes you sleep early in the night after anchoring in a fancy place.
Overnight at Houseboat.
Day : 06 - Alleppey –Kovalam
After Breakfast Check out from House Boat and transfer to Kovalam. Check in at
the hotel and proceed for local sightseeing, Silhouetted against lush palm groves,
the crescent shaped beaches of Kovalam are Internationally acclaimed tourist
destinations. Besides the three main beaches - Lighthouse beach , Eve's or Howah
beach and the Ashok Beach, there are many more picturesque beaches all along the
Coast south of Kovalam starting from Vizhinjam up to Poovar and overnight stay at
a hotel
Day : 07 - : Kovalam –Kanyakumari– Kovalam
After breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour to Kanyakumari Evening
return to Kovalam. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day : 08 - : Kovalam – Trivandrum ( Tour Ends )
After breakfast check out from the hotel & transfer to Trivandrum airport for your onward destination.
